	TOURNAMENT HISTORY    1978 was the inaugural year for the Skaar Pabst Golf Scramble. The objective, as set by the late Gordy Skaar, was to raise funds to assist Bemidji State University Men's Athletics. The Wells Fargo Bank [ Bemidji, Minnesota ] became the sponsor in 2000 resulting in the official naming of the event as the "Wells Fargo / Gordy Skaar Memorial Golf Tournament". Over a period of 27 years $475,000.00 has been allocated for scholarships and other operational needs of men's athletics at B.S.U. R.H. BOB PETERS - HOCKEY COACH, RETIRED    "A tournament that started with approximately 40 golfers has, over the years, evolved into a field of 280 . The spirit and leadership of the Skaar family and the Bemidji Town and Country Club has elevated the Skaar Scramble to the category of one of the best in the Midwest".
